Community Emigration

In the early 1700s, several families emigrated from the area around Sinsheim to Lancaster Co. and other parts of Pennsylvania (PA). (1, 2) It was common practice for members of a community to emigrate together and then stay together in their new world.

Family Connection Our ancestor Peter Good (GC) immigrated to Pennsylvania on the Molly in 1727. His children Jacob and Anna followed in 1732 on the Samuel. Jacob Good (GC2) lived with his wife Susannah Scherer and her family at Bockschaft before emigrating. Anna and her husband John Musselman came from Meckesheim. ?? Hans Huber of Bockschaft, Christian Huber of Dühren, Martin and Samuel Meyer, both of Bockschaft, also came on the Samuel in 1732.
